Howdy from Texas. Well, 2019 is zooming by and we have already had meetings at The Canton Tractor/Truck Show & Swap Meet on April 6, and The North Texas Antique Tractor & Engine Show in Terrell on June 8. Visit our club website at www.loneststarihc.org or Facebook @LoneStarIHC for information on our future meetings in Lindsay and Temple. I’ve enjoyed meeting with members so far this year and look forward to meeting even more as the year continues.

I had mentioned the Canton Show in our previous Chapter Happenings. The show made a good come back from previous few years, with 17 clubs represented and multiple vendors. This is a fantastic venue with large covered display spaces. The rain didn’t dampen the fun. Thanks to all who participated. A special thanks to Chapter 25 member, Mike Wegman, for traveling 700 plus miles from the Texas Pan Handle and bringing his daughters 1929 Farmall Regular. We had several donated items for the swap meet that sold generating some nice income. Discussion had started about have a state IH show as part of the Canton show next year. Contact me if you have suggestions, and can assist.

The North Texas Antique Tractor and Engine Club puts on a great show in close proximity to Dallas. Thanks for allowing Chapter 25 to have our meeting.

Chapter 25 also had a display at the Golden Harvest Days at the Espenshade Farm, in Achille Oklahoma, on June 14. This two-day event is one of the best demonstration shows in the southwest. The Espenshade Family along with many volunteers, featured multiple crops being harvested, plowing, Saw Mill running, antique dirt moving equipment, and many other demonstrations all day on Saturday. It’s a must-see event for any enthusiast.

Lastly, we had a very generous donation to the club for the purchase of The Breakup. The books will be available at the club table. Contact myself or the club secretary if you’d like to directly purchase.
