Hello fellow IHC collectors and friends. Our spring was a rainy cold experience in upstate New York, but we survived and the crops are finally in and growing. We at Chapter 35 are thankfully looking forward to our picnic/meeting at member Butch Christs’ farm in late June. He and Cindy have created excitement with their offer and a fun time lies ahead. All members need to bring is their lawn chairs. Butch is an active charter member and admired IH collector and resource.
We have accepted the resignation of director Paul “Doc” Schneible because of added work responsibilities. Special thanks for his service on the board and we look forward to his continued participation as a club member.
Subsequently, charter member Dave Meacham will be sworn-in to complete Paul’s term. Dave’s high energy level is a welcome addition to our management team.
The big Red Power Round-Up is just around the corner. Here is a final reminder for all chapter presidents to join host president Ben Trapani and me on Friday, June 28, at 2:00 p.m. at the Round-Up fairground bandstand for a group photo of all chapter presidents in attendance. The photo will appear in the show book and each will be emailed a personal copy. All are asked to please wear a redshirt.
Our BOD has approved the creation of a past president’s plaque to be displayed at the clubhouse. It is just one more way of thanking our past presidents for all they have done leading us to our 15th Anniversary next year. Our 10-year Anniversary banner is being revised by member Becky Broughton for use at meetings and events in 2020.
From my perspective, there is plenty of excitement over the new IH book titled, “The Breakup – What Really Happened” by Paul Wallem. Many of our members have ordered the book. Best regards to all and enjoy the summer.
